1. I have two TPE dolls and one silicone. The two types are kept apart, wear their own clothes and wigs, and I wash my hands if I’ve touched one type before handling the other. I think one of the issues is that oils from one can harm the other and, if memory serves, it’s the oils from the TPE dolls (which of course can impregnate clothing/bedding) that are the main issue.

It’s better to play safe, but it would be interesting to do an experiment by putting the two types of material in direct contact with each other and see what happens.

2. I left my TPE trans-doll penis and a silicon strapon together in a box for a week by accident. The result was the strapon silicon solidified right in the middle and the TPE dick had a big melted hole halfway down.

3. I’ve had both types of dolls. Once I was told of the possible interaction, I have heeded the warnings of having silicone and TPE touch. One time I had a “threesome” with both before I knew of the warnings, and luckily during the brief contact they had with each other, there was no noticeable damage. I’m not sure I would risk it again though.

As for proximity, I keep my dolls in the hidden storage space under the stairs. They are in very close proximity, mere centimeters from each other, but I always make sure they are not touching before closing the door. I’ve seen no chemical interaction and they’ve been stored that way for over a year.

Some manufacturers have figured out a way to place a silicone head on a TPE body. They state they have found a mixture of both that does not interact.
